Liquid Gas UK releases Code of Practice 22 - Design, Installation and Testing of LPG Piping Systems

Code of Practice 22 has been updated for 2021 to include new sections which serve as a guide for engineers and suppliers working with LPG pipework and systems.

The Code has been created by a team of experts across a number of functions including training, LPG supply as well as The Caravan Club and Ministry of Defence. It sets the standard for design, construction, inspection, purging, commissioning and maintaining LPG pipework, flexible hoses and tubing.

New sections added to Code of Practice 22 include:

  • Purging of Pipework
  • Liquid hoses
  • Vapour hose requirements
  • Underground pipework
  • Proximity distances

Code of Practice 22 is essential for any business working with LPG pipework and provides key advice for safe installation which follows all of the very latest industry guidance as set out by the Government and its stakeholders.

Liquid Gas UK Codes of Practice are industry leading and recognised throughout the World for their contribution to safety standards for LPG installation and use.
