Hear all about the practical activities and opportunities for whole of the LPG Industry.

In our first webinar of the year, ‘The Decarbonisation Journey: How you can get involved’ taking place on Thursday 25th February, 10am – 11am, you will hear all about the practical activities and opportunities for whole of the LPG Industry.

We will be hearing from:

Ian Turk, Project Manager at the Energy Systems Catapult.

Ian will be talking about their ‘Living Lab’ and other decarbonisation projects the Energy Systems Catapult can support UK businesses on. The Living Lab is a real-world test environment for trialling new energy products, services and business models. With around 200 digitally connected smart-homes, businesses can rapidly design, market-test and launch smart energy innovations that can be integrated with mainstream smart heating controls, smart meters, IoT devices, and electric vehicle chargers.

Professor Martin Freer, Director at the Energy Research Accelerator (ERA)

Martin will be discussing how the ERA can support businesses transition to low-carbon energy, and opportunities for the LPG industry, having already invested in 23 facilities across the 9 partners - from state of the art facilities in battery, thermal, solar, hydrogen and bioenergy. The ERA draws on the expertise and world-class facilities of the Midlands Innovation group of universities – Aston, Birmingham, Cranfield, Keele, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Warwick, plus the British Geological Survey.
