Liquid Gas UK launches Young Person in LPG Awards 2022

Thursday 14th July 2022

On Thursday 14th July Liquid Gas UK launched the Young Person in LPG Awards 2022 sponsored by Vaillant at a special evening event in Warwickshire.

Members of the association were invited along with colleagues to enjoy an evening of networking, skill sharing and to hear more about the prestigious awards.

Young Person in LPG shines a spotlight on the outstanding work being carried out by individuals aged 30 and under in the LPG industry.

Commenting on Young Person in LPG 2022, and the importance of recognising the hard work and dedication of many young people working in the industry, Public Affairs Manager, Francesca Kirtley-Paine said:

“Young person in LPG is a great initiative that recognises the importance of skills development and drives the industry forward by championing emerging talent within the sector. It’s great to see the awards grow this year, with the addition of a brand-new category – the outstanding achievement award

“As we head towards our Net Zero goals and a cleaner, brighter future, we recognise the need to encourage more young people into the LPG industry, ensuring we reach new heights of success as we reach 2040 and beyond.

We want to commend all of the people aged 30 and under working hard across the LPG industry, whether that is within admin support, in a sales role, working as an apprentice or as part of a graduate scheme. All of these people are collectively making a real difference, and it gives us great pleasure to launch Young Person in LPG 2022 to celebrate their achievements.”

Young Person in LPG 2022 is now open for entries and this year there are three categories:

  • Rising Star of the Year
  • Apprentice of the Year
  • Outstanding Achievement

If you’d like to enter Young Person in LPG 2022 on behalf of yourself or a member of your team there is a short application form.

Laura Needham, Head of Training at Vaillant, commented:

“Following the success of the first annual Young Person in LPG awards at the Liquid Gas UK conference last year, we are proud to once again partner with Liquid Gas UK to support the launch of the awards for 2022.

“It is important to Vaillant as a business to support installers, as well as encourage more young people to join our industry and achieve success as we move towards the new era of heating – with cleaner and greener technologies and energy.

“We have numerous tremendous talented people across the LPG industry, so I ask people to either apply for themselves or recognise and nominate those who they feel should be in the running to win one of our three award categories. I look forward to seeing those applicant’s submissions in the coming months.”
