Celebrating Five Years of the Young Person in LPG Awards

Thursday 26th June 2025

Awards now open!

Liquid Gas UK is thrilled to announce the return of the Young Person in LPG Awards for its fifth year, proudly sponsored by Vaillant. Since its launch, the awards have recognised and celebrated outstanding young professionals in the LPG and renewable liquid gas industry, championing the next generation of talent and innovation.

The 2024 awards were announced at the Liquid Gas UK Conference in Cardiff, with winners across three categories:

  • Apprentice/Trainee of the Year: Hadley Hilton, Calor
  • Outstanding Achievement: Alisha Nadeem, Flogas
  • Rising Star: Madeleine Jones, AvantiGas

As the industry continues its ambitious journey towards becoming 100% renewable by 2040, nurturing young talent remains at the forefront. The Young Person in LPG Awards play a crucial role in recognising those making significant contributions to the sector’s growth, innovation, and sustainability.

Looking ahead to 2025, the awards will evolve to focus on one prestigious accolade: Young Person in LPG of the Year Winner, along with a runner up.

Why the change?

This updated format follows valuable feedback from members and our Board, who expressed a desire to simplify the awards and increase their prestige. By celebrating one overall winner and a runner-up, we aim to place greater emphasis on excellence, raise the profile of the award, and provide even more meaningful recognition for those who go above and beyond in our sector. The awards launched today at the Liquid Gas UK member meeting at the Installer Show on Wednesday, 25th June, at the NEC.

Criteria

  • Aged 35 or under on awards day, the 13th November 2025
  • Currently carrying out any role in the LPG industry
  • Organisation needs to be a member of Liquid Gas UK

George Webb, CEO of Liquid Gas UK, said: “We are incredibly proud to celebrate five years of the Young Person in LPG Awards. The talent, dedication, and achievements of young professionals in our industry are truly inspiring. As we move towards a more sustainable future, it’s vital we continue to support and showcase the next generation of leaders in LPG and renewable liquid gases.”
