Tuesday 18th November 2025

Liquid Gas UK is delighted to share that long-standing member Richard Wigfull has been awarded the 2025 APEA Lifetime Achievement Award.

Sponsored by ELAFLEX, the APEA Lifetime Achievement Award is a prestigious honour recognising an exceptional individual whose career has been marked by outstanding achievement, sustained excellence, and leadership. The award celebrates professionals whose contributions have made a lasting impact on the petroleum and gas industry—regardless of age or career stage.

Recipients are recognised for work that reaches beyond traditional boundaries, spanning every area of the petroleum forecourt sector: from above- and below-ground infrastructure to associated systems, materials, and components. It also acknowledges progress in areas such as alternative fuels, synthetic solutions, equipment technologies, and fuel innovation.

Richard has long been a respected ambassador for the LPG industry, widely recognised across the petroleum sector, the London Fire Brigade, and the UK LPG industry as a whole. His expertise, integrity, and commitment have made a significant and enduring contribution to industry standards and safety.

We extend our sincere thanks to Richard for his invaluable role in developing the Liquid Gas UK Codes of Practice and for the considerable support he has shown the Association over the past 25 years.
