WLGA welcomes Mr Donal Murphy, Chief Executive, DCC plc, Ireland to the position of WLGA President. WLGA also welcomes Mr A S Sahney, Chairman, Indian Oil Corporation to the position of Vice President. Mr Murphy was appointed as WLGA President for a tenure of two years during the 2025 WLGA General Assembly which took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 23rd September 2025.

WLGA also warmly thanks outgoing President, Mr Tabajara Bertelli Costa, CEO Ultragaz, Brazil for his outstanding role in supporting and leading the association as President since March 2024.

“It’s an honour to serve as President of the WLGA at such a pivotal moment for our industry. Liquid gas— and particularly renewable liquid gas—has a vital role to play in the global energy transition. Over the next two years, I look forward to working closely with our members and partners across the energy ecosystem to strengthen regional engagement, and foster collaboration that drives real-world decarbonisation. Together, I'm confident we can ensure our sector is recognised as a key contributor to a cleaner, more resilient energy future.” Mr Donal Murphy, Chief Executive, DCC plc, and WLGA President

“It is a great honour to be able to serve the WLGA as its Vice President. India’s LPG journey, powered by the Ujjwala Yojana and covering over 99% of Indian households, demonstrates how inclusive policy and strong infrastructure can transform lives. Indian Oil, as the country’s largest LPG marketer, delivers over 2.8 million cylinders daily and serves more than 150 million consumers. Our experience in scaling access and managing logistics holds valuable lessons for the world. I look forward to sharing India’s success story, fostering deeper collaboration, and advancing innovative pathways like bio-LPG and renewable DME to position liquid gas as the fuel of choice in bridging energy gaps and driving equitable progress.” Mr A S Sahney, Chairman, Indian Oil Corporation
