Last year, the LPG industry set out its pathway to 100% bioLPG with its 2040 Vision, demonstrating that LPG is a future proof solution for decarbonising rural homes and businesses. One thing missing from the fund is supporting Scottish rural energies, we would welcome dialogue with Scottish Government on this and on how to enable a just transition across Scotland’s entire energy spectrum.

LAST CHANCE TO TAKE PART IN THE FIRST EVER LPG INDUSTRY CENSUS

Government urged to level the playing field on EPCs for off-grid homes

Liquid Gas UK (LGUK), the trade association for the LPG industry in the UK, today calls on the Government to revise the methodology for Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) which currently encourages off the gas grid property owners to choose higher carbon heating solutions, such as heating oil, over more energy efficient options, such as LPG or Heat Pumps.
