LPG – the essential Christmas market ingredient

Monday 17th December 2018

As 2018 draws to a close and we all begin to wind down for Christmas, I bet many of you will already have visited one of the many Christmas markets now located around the UK. Bursting with festive cheer and Alpine stalls offering gifts, food and drink, Christmas markets have become an increasingly popular way to kick off seasonal celebrations with family, friends and colleagues.

  • Christmas Market

With German-inspired delights such as pretzels, schnitzels, bratwurst and Weissbier on offer alongside crepes, roasted chestnuts and pork and stuffing rolls there’s always plenty to make your mouth water. However, with the pop-up nature of a Christmas market and a huge number of visitors to keep happy, vendors face a number of challenges to deliver the perfect festive bite.

Here are a few reasons why LPG offers the perfect solution:

  • With crowds of visitors to serve, speed and reliability are essential, and LPG ignites quickly to give an instant flame and a steady, consistent source of heat.
  • It is the only off-grid alternative to natural gas that can be easily controlled and turned up or down on demand, to ensure exactly the right temperature, making it efficient to use, ensuring food isn’t spoiled or wasted.
  • Christmas markets can be found anywhere - from city centres, to small town side streets, and even village fields. As LPG can be bought in cylinders which are easy to transport and connect, it is available wherever the market may be.
  • Keeping the air clean is an important consideration for most locations and the beauty of LPG is that it is the lowest carbon and cleanest conventional off-grid fuel – burning cleanly without producing soot, smoke or smell.

So next time you’re tucking in to a festive treat at your favourite Christmas market stall, remember - it’s all thanks to LPG!

Happy Christmas to you all.
