Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has a variety of benefits and advantages for off-grid homes and businesses. It performs in an identical way to natural gas; it is widely available; it’s reliable and it offers complete versatility of use. One of the greatest benefits of LPG is that it’s the lowest carbon conventional energy source available.
But were you aware of all the benefits provided through membership of UKLPG, the national trade association for the LPG industry?
UKLPG is dedicated to the safe and effective development of the LPG industry and as a member you have a unique opportunity to help us to exert influence and contribute to a cleaner energy future. In the past 12 months we’ve submitted comprehensive responses to multiple Government consultations including ‘A Future Framework for Heat in Buildings’ Call for Evidence and more recently, the ‘Energy Performance Certificates in Buildings’ Call for Evidence. We’ve circulated these responses to MPs and have held many meetings with Government departments as we seek to influence further decisions on fuel policy.
We’ve also driven significant changes to help ease the pressures encountered during a winter of weather and supply issues, most specifically in the reporting of supply data to the Government to identify issues sooner; refinement of the drivers’ hours extension process; and the creation of a customer charter to aid communications.
