Young Person in LPG Awards 2022

Sponsored by Vaillant

As part of Liquid Gas UK’s annual conference in Edinburgh in November 2022, we were delighted to be able to present the Young Person in LPG awards to three very worthy winners.

The awards programme, sponsored by Vaillant and launched for the first time in 2021, aims to champion young people aged 30 and under throughout the industry, shining a spotlight on their success, and showcasing the opportunities for young people within the LPG sector.

Winners of the 2022 awards were:

  • Outstanding Achievement Award – Lizzie German, Dimeta
  • Rising Star Award – Max Bennett, AvantiGas
  • Apprentice of the Year Award – Connor McLean, J Gas

Laura Needham, Head of Training at Vaillant said “We’re delighted to sponsor this award as it  promotes the industry to young people, who are incredibly important for its future. It’s a developing and growing sector, that’s venturing into a greener future, so we need new talent to keep the industry thriving and bring in new ideas.”

Francesca Kirtley-Paine, Public Affairs Manager at Liquid Gas UK commented: “The calibre of applications we received this year was extremely high and choosing just one winner per category proved to be a challenging task for our judging panel. “However, it just goes to show that the industry has a bright future, finding itself in very capable and inspiring hands as we look to tackle the challenge of decarbonisation and ensuring that industry reaches Net Zero targets.”

During the awards presentation, it was announced that the initiative would be continuing into 2023, once again with the support of Vaillant. Further details on the 2023 Young Person in LPG Awards will be available soon.

A huge congratulations to all of our worthy winners and nominees
